Exhibition held at Newcastle Art Space from July 11-27.
Opening night July 12 from 4-6pm.
Inspired by an early morning swim at Wylie's Baths in Coogee, where the sunlight was the hot, bright February kind and the natural rock bottom created all sorts of beautiful distorted patterns.
Interesting things can happen to light waves as they pass through water, behaving much like a glass prism, splitting them into their full spectrum of colours.
Like a mythical shapeshifter, these ribbons of dispersed light are glimpsed only briefly.
