Late afternoon at the beach has always been a favourite time to walk and farewell the day. Merewether beach has a beautiful long flat rock shelf home to multi coloured weed, sea life and rock pools that reflect the sky.
 
This painting was inspired by afternoon walks and painting studies done from the walkway. 
At this time of day things seem to glow and long shadows spread fingers across the sand and rocks, creating all sorts of interesting effects.
