Water has long been my favourite subject to paint. Moving or still, salty or fresh, above or below, makes no difference. It fascinates and inspires me and I never tire of painting it.
 
Shallow transparent water has been a subject matter I've wanted to explore for a long time, however other painting commitments have kept me from it.
This oil is the first in the Ocean Gems series that I now, happily have some time to dive into.
