This iconic tin shed on the road to the small historical town of Morpeth is looking a little frayed around the edges and I fear will go the way of many old country sheds, into pieces on the ground. Exact age unknown it remains a picturesque local landmark that stops many passers by.
First manufactured in 1854 in North America, Dr Morse's Indian Root Pills contained herbal ingredients which were claimed to provide a cure for a host of ailments. In 1885 the first Dr Morse's Root Pills advertisement appeared in Australia.
One morning while painting on site these cows and one very handsome red bull wandered into view creating a colourful yet peaceful rural scene that I just had to commit to paper.
