In May 2025 I took part in an artist's residency at the top of Nobbys, Whibayganba headland.
One day a week for four weeks, I was lucky enough to have a wonderful scenic, wind whipped, and inspiring high vantage point from which to paint.
While there I felt super charged creatively and completed many onsite sketches and drawings.
This panoramic scene over Newcastle with the ocean on one side and the Hunter River on the other was influenced by the vast all-encompassing views I was privileged to observe each day.
Here the phrase, birds eye view, comes to mind as I distractedly observed from my high point all the busy human activities below.
