Framed original oil on canvas 83cm x 103cm. Ready to hang in a timber lime washed float frame.
Inspired by an early morning swim at Wylie's Baths in Coogee, where the water was clear, the sunlight was the hot bright February kind and the natural rock bottom all combined to create many weird and beautiful distortions.
Interesting things can happen to light waves as they pass through water, behaving much like a glass prism, splitting them into their full spectrum of colours. Like a mythical shape shifter glimpsed only fleetingly before changing form.
