The seed for Channelling Scarlett was planted during a backyard pool gathering at a neighbour’s place. My friends and family are used to me being armed with my underwater camera, asking them to swim, dive or pose for this or that future swimming story I might write in paint.
I never really know how the story will end as these watery paintings always seem to take on a life and identity of their own, while it seems sometimes that I just hold the brush.
