Wylies baths in Coogee had been on my bucket list of must swim places for a while. Established in 1907 it was one of the first mixed gender bathing pools in Australia and its heritage significance has earned it National Trust recognition.
 
I finally got there last summer, and I certainly wasnt disappointed on that hot February morning when I walked down the stairs.
This little study in oil is just the first of many moments I'd love to recreate in paint from that beautiful morning.
